Bespoke, Designer, Dry Stone Retaining Walls with integrated features and access facilities.
Hoghton, Lancashire Works Description
The commissioned works featured below are a small section of extended works in progress, at 3rd June 2011. drystone Craft international™ has been commissioned to design, manage and provide specialist excavations, geological/ groundwater investigation and dry stone construction operations for this project.
The bespoke designer dry stone retaining walls were designed by us and will be constructed of reclaimed Lancashire micaceous sandstone. The works feature: curved retaining walls on two consecutive tiers, with concave batter. Other features will include: integrated stone shelving, arches, bulls eye, two staircases, varied angled cheek ends, integrated wine rack and quartzite flagged access areas.
Currently, fencing, gates and turf laying are in progress, being undertaken by nominated subcontractors. We anticipate that a full series of images depicting progress on this project from initiation to completion, will be displayed. More images and commentry soon.
