    Gardens

The images below are from a selection of works undertaken to client specifications in domestic settings.

Frequently stone in situ is used as far as possible in the local surrounding dry stone walling style.

Planters, bee boles and other cavities are built into the wall as per client requirements....

Our design team produce many drawings for our clients along with optional digital 3d virtual imagery and technical specifications.

Residential Boundaries

Curves, recesses and special features are frequently used in residential boundary and landscape dry stone walls.

Many of our clients choose reclaimed stone for traditional build dry stonework, in preference where possible, to importing new stone to site from quarries.

Where new stone is required, our designers work closely with clients to enable easy selection, sourcing and purchasing of a range of stone types, through customer - direct transactions with stone suppliers through fair trading practices.

Livestock & Landowner

Many field walls are constructed under the DEFRA Environmental Stewardship scheme, which is aimed at Farmers and other private landowners.

Other works are private, other business, or other grant source funded; for example, our recent externally, privately funded discount scheme exclusively for Lancashire Farmers.

The majority of field walls are constructed using stone that is already on site, largely from the derelict or collapsed walls that require rebuilding.

The local style of walling is always adopted in the construction of the new wall, along with the standard specifications with some local variations as required.

Approximately 6% of walls reconstructed by us have been dated by landscape Archeologists to have been initially constructed between the years 1400 and 1650.
