Our Gallery shows a broad selection of our extensive portfolio of works, which we feel are typical of our everyday operations. We will be including 'Case Studiess' from time to time on the new Case Studies page we are developing - these will display an extended series of images and commentry on particular projects from initiation to completion, and some projects we are currently undertaking. We aim to complete some Case Studies by December 2011.
We undertake a wide range of bespoke stonework construction works in natural stone, in a wide variety of stone types and equally varied localities. We endeavour to take close up images of our work where possible along with wider images to enable full appreciation of works. some images are stills, whilst others can be enlarged.

In our stonework constructions, whether dry stonework, stonemasonry or lime mortared stonework, we specialise in using recycled stone currently on site, including, but not limited to the following :-
Igneous: Basalt, Gabbro, Dolerite , Granite
Sedimentary: Limestone, Sandstone, Gritstone
Metamorphic: Slate

Bespoke Stone PillarsCurves, recesses and special features are frequently used in residential boundary and landscape dry stone walls.
Many of our clients choose reclaimed stone for traditional build dry stonework, in preference where possible, to importing new stone to site from quarries.
Where new stone is required, our designers work closely with clients to enable easy selection, sourcing and purchasing of a range of stone types, through customer - direct transactions with stone suppliers through fair trading practices, including our own stone stores.
Livestock and Landowner

Many of our stock wall contracts are undertaken and inspected upon completion, under the DEFRA Environmental Stewardship scheme, which is aimed at Farmers and other private landowners. Other works are private, other business, or other grant source funded; for example, our recent externally, privately funded scheme exclusively for Lancashire Farmers.
The majority of field walls are constructed using stone that is already on site, largely from the derelict or collapsed walls that require rebuilding. The local style of walling is always adopted in the construction of the new wall, along with the standard specifications with some local variations as required.
Approximately 23% of dry stone walls reconstructed by us are dated by landscape Archeologists to have been initially constructed between the years 1380 and 1650.
